Today...

Today we learned about count and non-count nouns. We went over a worksheet on identifying whether the noun is count or non-count.
Remember: A count noun can be counted! -> 1 apple - 3 apples / 1 boy - 5 boys
A non-count noun cannot be counted! --> Milk / grass / news / Earth / water

For homework the students have a vocabulary worksheet and a reading hand-out. The vocabulary worksheet focuses on putting the vocab word in the correct sentence. The reading hand-out is to be read out loud and if you can, answer the questions attached to it. Give it your best try! We will go over the answers and any questions you have in class.

Extra learning:

Read the sentences and tell whether the underlined noun is count or non-count.

  1. Mr. Tim can't drink milk. ( count / non-count )
  2. Yesterday we saw some boys running in the street. ( count / non-count )
  3. How many farms are in Nablus? ( count / non-count )
  4. Who is the most beautiful teacher in the school? ( count / non-count )
  5. We need air to breathe. ( count / non-count )
